You Don’t Know Jack! The Podcast

Who is Dr. Jack Dillenberg?
And why should you know him?

Dr. Jack Dillenberg is a first-generation American who came from humble beginnings and went on to become a public health hero.

If you were a kid in the early 90s, you might remember an anti-tobacco ad campaign with the slogan, “Smoking: Tumor-Causing, Teeth-Staining, Smelly, Puking Habit.” That slogan came from the mind of Dr. Jack Dillenberg, who was the Director of the Arizona Department of Health at the time. It’s just one example of how “Dr. Jack” has impacted global public health.

Dr. Jack Dillenberg, Dean Emeritus of the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health and the former Mayor of Jerome, Arizona, has a lifetime of funny stories. In his travels on behalf of public health and dentistry programs, he’s met everyone from Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder to Mother Teresa and Richard Nixon.

There’s much more to Dr. Jack than meets the eye. Go a little deeper beyond the wild run-ins with famous people, and you’ll quickly learn that he’s a compassionate, lifelong public health servant who has changed lives and made lasting friends all over the world.

You Don’t Know Jack! But you should. Listen to the podcast to hear more about his remarkable life.

Dr. Jack’s memoir, You Don’t Know Jack! My Long, Strange Trip Through the World of Public Health, is coming soon!
